Foundation's 2014 Focus:
Building the BJCF Restricted Endowment Fund
During 2014 the Foundation Board will focus upon building the BJCF Restricted Endowment Fund. The Board has set a goal to raise a minimum of $50,000 for the Endowment this year. More than $44,000 was added to the Fund during 2013, increasing its total assets from $19,908 as of December 31, 2012 to over $76,000 today.
The Foundation intends to grow the long term endowment fund so that its earnings can be used to award grants to local organizations for projects and programs in the community. To this end, the Foundation is also planning to work with community organizations to understand and define what community needs exist that would fall within the mission of the Foundation. Stay tuned for more news as the work progresses!
Every gift to this fund demonstrates your conviction that together we can truly influence the future of our community. MAKE A DONATION TO THE BJCF RESTRICTED ENDOWMENT

People's Choice Awards - Vote Often!
The Boulder Junction Community Foundation announces a summer event that gives our visitors and residents some extra fun while helping the Foundation raise money for future creative programs and projects in Boulder Junction.
We want to know what your favorite menu item is for each of the fourteen (14) food establishments in Boulder Junction. You will find a ballot box at each establishment, with ballots and paperclips attached. A poster on the front of the box identifies the voting location. Take a ballot, write down your favorite item, clip a $1.00 bill to it and place it in the box. You can also name your favorite server or bartender, if desired. Only ballots with a dollar (or more for multiple votes) attached will be counted. You can vote as often as you like, and we encourage you to vote often!
The event runs through Labor Day weekend with results announced at the 55th Annual Colorama Dinner on September 20, 2014, at Camp Manito-wish. All eating establishments will be awarded a certificate naming their top menu items. The top server or bartender will be awarded a cash prize. Look for the People’s Choice ballot boxes and vote often!
