Completed Special Projects

Boulder Junction Community Center and Library, Town of Boulder Junction

The Foundation is proud to have played such an integral role in the largest project our town has undertaken in the last 50 years. We worked with the town and created a Special Projects Fund designated to collect donations from generous-minded people in our community to see this new building become a reality. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity and is qualified to receive a variety of tax deductible contributions. In this capacity, we were able to assist the town by raising over $400,000 for our new community center. The net effect of this monetary assistance will be to reduce the added tax on each taxpayer in Boulder Junction an estimated 22% for the next 20 years! This is a shining example of what can be accomplished with dedication and cooperation. Special Projects Funds can help with a variety of future projects in our town such as a new park or playground, bike trail maintenance, beautification or additional trails, a stage with electrical capabilities for town events or better signage in our community. These are also the types of projects the Boulder Junction Community Foundation hopes to fund through future grants from our Restricted Endowment Fund.
