Announcing our 2024 Board of Directors

The Boulder Junction Community Foundation, an affiliate of the Community Foundation of North Central Wisconsin, announces the 2024 Board of Directors and welcomes new board members.

The local foundation board expansion brings the total number of board members to eight, whose goals focus on their mission to “Preserve and Enhance Boulder Junction for Present and Future Generations.”

Theresa Smith, former Boulder Junction Chamber Executive Director and current Marketing Production and Client Relations Director for destination marketing company, Pilch + Barnet, and Breanna Miner, General Manager of the Aqualand Ale House, joined the current board effective January 1, 2024.

Both women share their love for Boulder Junction with the existing board members and bring diverse talents and perspectives to the charity’s existing dynamic team.

The Boulder Junction Community Foundation’s main functions are to manage foundation funds and to distribute grants to local non-profit applicants who can apply spring and fall each year for assistance with qualified projects or needs. The Foundation also serves as fiduciary for Boulder Junction’s special project fundraising efforts.

Most recently the Foundation served as fiduciary for the community’s new playground installation and the North Creek Loop Bike Trail Project, an expansion of the Heart of Vilas County Paved Bike Trail, scheduled to be completed in 2024.
