A New Adventure Comes to Boulder Junction
A different way to navigate through the woods in the winter will soon be available to Boulder Junction residents and visitors.
The Boulder Junction Community Foundation is proud to assist in the community’s new, innovative winter recreation activity. The skating ribbon.
The foundation’s $5,000 fall cycle grant award, made possible by our donors, will aid the Town of Boulder Junction in their purchase of a Zamboni 200, pull-behind Ice Surfacing Machine. This unique piece of equipment will also be available to improve maintenance of Winter Park’s existing skating rink.
A new ribbon course will utilize an existing hiking trail in a .8 mile loop, which will begin and end at Boulder Junction’s Winter Park.
The park’s warming hut also provides a limited selection of “borrow skates” for those who may not have skates of their own.
Join us in congratulating the Boulder Junction Parks Board in bringing yet another great activity to our most special north woods.
See you out there!
